Are you satisfied with your work? I mean are you truly happy where you are? Do you feel fulfilled? Excited to show up to work? Do you know you are making a difference, and in the way you want to be? My hope and prayer is that you can answer yes to all these questions, and that the LifeMap category of Vocational is locked in and set. But if you answered no to just one of these, I want you to begin to believe you can answer, and will eventually answer, yes to each of these and to many other job questions that you have.
The LifeMap gives you that power, allows you to build your future, even if you’re lost in the present. If you are not satisfied with your job, unfortunately, you are not alone, 52.3% of Americans are unhappy at work, according to a new report by the Conference Board, the New York-based nonprofit research group. This is a staggering and sad number, this means 1 in 2 people are not satisfied with their job according to this report.
Think about it this way, every other person you see at work is not happy with their job! Let’s say you have a team of 6 people, if this report is accurate to your team, 3 out of those 6 teammates are not happy with their job. I know, I know, you get it, but it’s a huge deal and you and I need to not be okay with this. Even if you are just not okay with it for yourself.
I’ve been there before. When I look back I can’t think of a single employee that expressed happiness in the job they had. My struggle with job dissatisfaction took 4 months to finally push me to quit, and after I quit it took me another 4 months to land a solid job, but in that process I took the LifeMap and applied it to my life and my family, and now I am walking those roads. This isn’t a name it and claim it type idea, I asked myself a lot of questions and applied to a lot of jobs but in the process I found the right work for me to do and it allowed me to start this blog, to start my own business, and to spend more time with my family.
Are you satisfied with your job?
What about you, what is your dream job? Dream business? I want your LifeMap to answer those questions and to start building the roads you will walk down to make it happen. I have been lucky in the last several years to have three different jobs that I truly loved. I know not everyone has been as fortunate as I have been.
